So, ask yourself this-
If YOU didn't renew you medical by the end of November, 2019.. what would happen to you (or any other pilot)
Well.. doesn't your December trips start getting dropped without pay?
Or do you start to call in sick at the end of November?

At what point does the company reach out to you (or any other pilot) who now shows SICK for a few trips..
Is it after a few weeks? A month?
When? But it does happen.
How does a pilot bid for the January 2020 bid month if they have not sent in a copy of their current medical?

So.. lets say a pilot calls in sick for Dec, Jan and Feb. Does he automatically go on LTD?
It is my understanding that a pilot goes on LTD after-
90 Days
Sick Leave down to 120 hrs
Whenever, after 90 days.. that the pilot wants to stop burning their Sick Time.

So the questions that beg to be answered are-
Why does he NOT have a medical
How was he getting paid from Dec to now
WHO was paying him?
-The company?
-His own sick bank?
-The Union (ie Membership)
Has he complied with the UAL ALPA MEC Policy Manual?

For the record, emails sent out last week and today. Still awaiting reply.
This is a question of Integrity.
Just because someone was a great Grievance Chair doesn't mean they automatically become a great MEC Chair. This TA Proves it!

Motch
Doesnt everyone have an extended medical because of Covid? Last I saw your medical was still good past the expiration date for a while because they couldn’t get everyone in.

maybe I’m wrong?
