The US has, and has had one of the highest mask wearing rates in the world, more than double most of Europe. The US did so poorly with the virus because our healthcare system is massively corrupt.
It's so corrupt with social justice that instead of telling patients that they are morbidly obese, doctors have to ask people to reduce their levels of brave, you go girl etc. I mean we have to deny medical science in favor of not hurting people's feelings, that might literally kill them.
Science is only valid when it's not politically inconvenient. If it gets in the way of reality we should ignore it.
