Tucson has had a ton of planes sitting around for a long time, including those ancient 700s in Alaska colors. During the summer I saw some CA tail taxiing around that said Gojet on the nose, presumably for a 550 conversion. Obviously those aren’t happening now. Lots of movement going on as well, with some interesting pairings that popped up on the OT board this week, repo flights. I saw a 200 from SBN to SLC, and some 700 movement (out of TUS and PSP).
As for the PC12 comment, that’s not a bad idea. I’m sure pretty much everyone would like that more than a 200 haha. And as an example of a Pilatus showing up on new routes. I noticed in November there’s a daily PHX-PSP turn on Boutique. Obviously this isn’t a route that will lose airline service. But I can see how operators like Boutique and Cape Air with their new twins are/can enter these smaller markets that stand to lose frequency or completely lose airline service.
