Sorry to hear the 200 will be around for even one more day, what a POS.
Who are the new (used) 170’s going to be flying for?

Unsure on that one. I would think since United is working on getting rid of all the 70 seat CRJs and turning them into 50 seat 550s, that they would be going to the United side. But that’s just a complete guess by me.

The only 2 CRJ DMA bases left are ORD and DFW and those are on the American side. Delta switched over to the ERJ for the winter, but if they decided to go back to the CRJ, LAX may come back.

United will be using the 200’s for a long time. They make a ton of money and there are rumors of a 30 seat 2 class configuration coming to them. It looks like they will also be converting all of the United 700’s to 550’s. They are already taking over a lot of routes in Denver as well. The CRJ will not be going away anytime soon.
You're right, I just saw that SBP 30 hour this morning. My bad. My information was a little dated. Being junior I don't ever fly those trips.

CRJ200s and 550s both have pretty bad performance. In dispatch when we have a weight issue we tend to groan and say “no wonder, it’s a 550. We are stuck with these numbers”.

What bases are being offered to New Hires? What bases are considered junior, as in it’s no problem to transfer to fairly quickly?

I hear there's rumor chat in the sim lately. SKW buying EDV. Think about it.
SKW has all these orders inline for production for the e175. 9E has none that I know of and deliveries would be years away behind OO deliveries. 9e was distraught that OO got Mesas crap crj9s for flying/parts, which a few were scrap and corroding but good to part out to sustain the OO crj9 op. Where was 9e? Too late to the show. Can't fly the crj7/9 forever when it's hard to find parts. SKW will convert 9E crj7 to the crj5 and will fly pro rate and part out the crj9s when needed. Its only time, OO will be flying only the Erj and slowly phasing out the crjs with 9e equip and parts. Its coming.Skywest is always thinking 10 years ahead of the game folks. Peace out
