If anyone should be ****ed off, it should be the CAL guys.
We ALL don't complain about the Q---cause most of us don't care. It is what it is.... the plane is going into service, there will be pilots to fly it, and there will be passengers riding on it. If you are going to complain about Colgan's Q rates, you should probably complain about the CommutAir Dash-8 rates (which IMO are as bad as Colgan's Q-400 rates, just a different number of seats).
CAL guys are in no position to judge---they fly 757's for $31/hr first year (plus pay for their own insurance for six months). The industry is already down, it can't be "brought down" much more unless pilots start actually paying their companies to go to work. It is up to COLGAN pilots to say no---we won't fly this until $$$ are improved. If they do it, good for them. I don't see it happening though.
