The problem is everyone here has flow to AA on the brain. So the only guys you work with go to AA. So you're really only networking with guys that are going to AA. So you don't really get to network with guys that go to UA or DL or wherever. So you don't get the same kind of internal recs at UA or DL that guys at other regionals would.
Yeah, there are some that diverge from the flow. But not enough.
I’ve got friends at UA, AA, DL, UPS, FDX. Yes, I know a lot more at AA than the others but I’ve networked beyond that. I think it’s safe to say most WO pilots know more than just AA pilots.
Flow is great until it’s not. I think it’s important to note a lot of folks got out before the flow to other carriers. Be like those folks, volunteer, continue education, get in the training department, and push to get a new job before the flow, because that flow date can disappear overnight.
