Regarding financing, their bond ratings are trash, in large part, because they’re hemorrhaging money. It stands to reason they won’t be in the market for new airplanes until they’ve got more demand for flying than they can support. I believe when that time comes, they will be able to borrow at much more favorable rates.

Regardless of whether you agree or disagree with Excargodog , at least he backs up the statements with intelligence and sources. This game we are all playing is a crap shoot, the best we can all hope for is making the most educated decision we can with the data we have.

The flow will come back, how soon and at what rate is anyones guess. There are so many variables that could effect it. I mean, prior to 2020, we were hiring and flowing like it was never going to end, yet here we sit.

If you are looking for advice, find people that can give you unbiased information backed up by experience, facts, sources or all of the above. I have come to really appreciate Excargodog , sanicom3205 rickair7777 CLE to IAH and several others. Does this mean I agree with everything they say, surely not, but you can use opinions as a barometer so long as you trust what is being said.

Anyway, got a little off track there, but don't lose hope on the flow, it will come back in some form or another. Hopefully, it comes back quickly and you will see this as "a small blip in human history".

Whatever you do, don't listen to a word from @TheDork

Where would APC be without THEKOOJ pimping cadets, Envoy and the flow?. I honestly love the guys enthusiasm. Since I’m not ex military I’m lucky to not be deeply offended by some insinuations that have been uttered on here. Therefore a “not my circus; not my monkeys” point of view prevails.

But seriously I do not see business travel returning to what it was and who knows about the viability of wide body flying in the aggregate? But American will shed 8000~ (ball park) pilots by 2030. So even if American shrinks by 20% in a worst case scenario then movement will delayed by 3 years from today tops.

Every generation faces something. In the scope of things COVID will be just a blip. Much like everything else.

Anyway happy flying. You have good info as well Cyio!!! I would add you to the list you posted!! Cheers.
