Its better than zero but its not something to parade around about.
Some have short memories....in 2001, there was arguably less disruption to the industry (as far as load factors), yet all the majors went quickly to furlough. Only consideration was whether to cover COBRA payments for those who couldn't get insurance otherwise. Literally by November 2001, there were 1000's of pilots on the street, no warn notices, no boosted unemployment, no offers of LOA's. Main difference then was the price of oil was climbing fast and the industry was way over capacity. So in this context, I'd say ALPA negotiating a furlough mitigation plan that at least 50% (75% at Delta) of the pilots could agree on is somewhat of a feat, so yes congratulations.
