But the general public doesn’t know for sure. And Congress, who votes on these bills, has to answer to the will of the people—their constituency. Most people have no idea that captains make NEARLY as much money as they do.
So when a journalist publishes an expose in the NYT about how airline pilots are clearing over half a million dollars a year while being heavily
propped up by taxpayer dollars, meanwhile the general public is struggling, how likely do you think it’ll be that they’ll support round two?
