The reality was that financially 2020 was for the cargo guys what 2019 was for the pax guys. At my company you could easily increase your annual income by greater than 50%. Even more if you just wanted to play the game and work all the time. The numbers are further inflated by a shortage of warm bodies due to Covid and precautionary quarantine measures sidelining a significant chunk of the pilot group. Effectively, if you didn’t mind laying over in a hotel room you couldn’t leave and risking detention in overseas quarantine facilities it was “great”. QOL BLEW CHUNKS!!
