The thing I'm still not understanding about this thread is exactly what benefit do you as the pilot gain by taking the aircraft beyond published mins? In an emergency you can land an RJ with one engine, no flaps, and nothing but the ADG powering the electrics. Hell the RJ can even handle severe turbulence without falling out of the sky (injuries on board not withstanding).
That being said if you know the engine is gonna quit, or the flaps are gonna fail would you actually depart? If you're filed through severe turbulence would you actuality go without a reroute? The aircraft being physically capable of a maneuver is not an excuse to do stupid ****.
So the only reason I imagine anyone would be proud of taking an airframe beyond mins without declaring an emergency is purely to satisfy a criminally negligent over inflated fragile ego, and I hope I never have the misfortune to be a passenger on your flight.
