If I had to pick from those 2, I would earn more from the gold (excluding the sign up bonus). I would rather go with Chase trifecta. Chase freedom unlimited, chase freedom flex, and Chase Sapphire Preferred or Reserve. The points from the freedom can transferred to the Sapphire, which can be transferred to Chase's partner or use it in the portal. I'm sitting on 260K points from Chase which most are earned from the Freedom's 3% or 5% categories. IMO if I have to pick one card it would be the Chase Sapphire Reserve.
