I will guarantee you 95%+ just looked at compensation, went oh I like that and voted yes then spent 4 years complaining how the company is getting away with one thing and another due to very poor and vague contract language. Without protections from scheduling especially and a worthwhile pension it should be a resounding NO. It worked for management before and I'm sure they hope again.
From my conversations with other K4 pilots I think most people agree with you. The issue becomes what is good enough and is it better to wait for the big step or take baby steps to get there.
