This is the correct post. ALPA national knows that SkyWest is a problem because they have the advantage of economics of scale. SkyWest can slit their throat on one agreement to capture market share only to make it up on another. ALPA knows this and they know that they can continue to drive airlines under. SkyWest will make money their the aircraft leasing business (GoJet), ground handling, and other ventures.

I view them as a lost cause with ever signing cards and unionizing. I am sure that the pilots are indoctrinated with all sorts of “SkyWest is the best” stories and fed glorious legends of their dear leaders. You take a bunch of young cadets, feed them lies of how good the company is and how they will take care of you, and they’re bound to be loyal to you.
