And just to point out an interesting subset of the chart, look at strictly the military component.....15 deaths out of 126k personnel. That is about 1 death per 100,000. I use this subset because the military can't enforce fitness standards on the civilian/dependent/contractor contingent. I would be interested in the 15 deaths on a deep dive into data. All 15 could be, "gosh, Covid and Covid alone is responsible", or they could be, "Well, they died in a car wreck while being Covid positive". Not that it matters....Covid kills. But so does drunk driving, smoking, diabetes, suicide, slips and falls, drugs. .If the governments job is the safety and welfare of it's citizens, there are a lot of issues that still need to be tackled. Isn't that the real reason for combating climate change?. To impose government laws/sanctions to effect climate change for the betterment of society?
There are two types of zoos. In South Africa National Parks, the animals are free to roam about, and the humans are fenced in at night to protect them. In a standard zoo, the animals are fenced in and the humans are free to mosey about. Both systems strive to protect the humans while still allowing interaction. Which type of "zoo" does the Covid response need to mimic?......... Beats me.
