They need relief from 1.F in the CBA. Right now, the number of block hours in the previous 12 months is lower than the block hours in the 12 months before that (2020 hours were lower than 2019). At some point this year, the lookback will contain enough of the reduced flying from 2020, to where the previous 12 month block will be greater than the 12 months before that. At that point, I'd imagine they could run a new hire class and then press on with the code share without needing any CBA relief.
