I'm not stuck anywhere, particularly not in 2002. I love not being a UA pilot anymore. I had a hell of a lot of fun and got to go to some great spots. But got tired of the BS required to be a UA pilot these days (especially since the company piles on more with each passing year), and the commute. And when Covid showed up? F.I. I had saved enough to leave.

What I particularly grew weary of was one apologetic MEC after another explaining why we had to cave on this and why we had to cave on that. Aside from Dubinski, it was more or less a constant refrain for my entire career. We learned next to nothing during bankruptcy and the UNION gets pilots to yank pages (and money) out of their contract. Make it up later my a$$. That's what gets my goat. We have NEW HIRES who enjoyed some better work rules at their Regional jobs than UNITED pilots enjoy.
