I looked at the Ford MachE yesterday. Equipped alike with the long range battery it’s about 7-8000 more than the Tesla Y but the current tax credit offsets it. The car was a bit disappointing. The screen interface seemed a poor mans copy of the Tesla and not nearly as intuitive. The cars are the same size but the Tesla seemed roomier especially the back seat. The interior on the Ford did seem to be better overall quality and looked better. The exterior however looked like Tesla built it on contract. There were several fit and alignment issues. Overall the Y would be a easy choice for me over the MachE. Anyone seen a VW ID4 yet?
Sailing, my wife and I looked at a Mach-E yesterday too. Didn’t get to drive it but we sat in it. Whole-heartedly agree with your assessment. Did you figure the X-Plan discount we get with Ford? Nothing special but it helps. The backseat was very tight and my wife is 4’11”. I did not like the Infotainment screen setup compared to Tesla. More that Tesla’s is just much better to me . Haven’s seen the ID-4 yet. I am curious about the Nissan Ariya that will come out later this year.
