The “millions” in penalties could be multi millions in Green Slips on rotations that were awarded illegally previously. Or gasp, maybe they realize that dealing with crew schedules in 2021 with tech and staffing models from the 80-90s is dumb. We get better tools to work our schedule and the hire more pilots. But that too would cut down on you illegal reroute pay.
