In regard to paying for the jet time, let's put something in perspective. These are 250 hour pilots with a ME rating and no ME time, an inst rating and no inst time, CRM training and no crew time, a CJ SIC endorsement and no jet time. To get 20-30 hours of real world passenger carrying jet time at that experience level is a rare opportunity and a great resume enhancer.

As far as logging the SIC time, the C525 is an either/or airplane: single pilot if the PIC has a C525S type rating, or two pilots if the PIC has either type rating. If the PIC is qualified by FAR 61.58, and the SIC is qualified by FAR 62.55 it is definitely logable.
