Not picking a fight but, is it possible you assumed too much? I would imagine he would agree with you if you asked him.
I am for a retiree medical plan since there isn't one. I am also for a better medical plan for everybody. How's that for inclusivity?.....(But I also realize that at least 1 active pilot will be saying, "if we didn't have to fund a retiree medical plan then I could have gotten more for my group".....that is the nature of negotiations. There are winners and bigger winner in good times, and losers and bigger losers in bad times. It's the nature of the beast and why getting memrat was so important years ago.
BTW, TED74 wants $$$ attached to proposals......your's will be very expensive. approx ...$10,000 per pilot. Then the problems of who gets it? And, "I have Tricare, that doesn't do jack for me"....and, "my spouse works ,we use her insurance"....and, " I'm not married while JimBob is and has 10 kids".... etc etc.....then it turns into a divisive food fight. These arguments do have merit....but again, that's the nature of contracts for the masses.
BTW x 2....all keyboard warriors, you are welcome to disagree with me but maybe ask a question if you think clarification is in order.
