A car accident, even if he's at fault, won't hurt him 1/10 of 1%. The kid is having a rough day and you're going to scare him like that? The only thing that would hurt him would be a reckless driving attached, or of course, alcohol.

His Insurance, though, is about to double or triple, so he needs to get this taken care of.

I rear-ended a car that cut me off, other driver was injured...listed as my fault (you can't prove someone cut you off), never questioned in an interview or the interview for my Gov't security clearance for that matter. S-happens out there on the road, everyone knows that.
