Honestly the DOT should regulate maximum cabin temps. Or some kind of maximum temperature for the APU MEL. I have seen older people in seriously bad shape getting off of CRJ’s with no APU in the summer. Airlines will never do it on their own; at least regionals won’t.
XJT had a maximum temp for the APU MEL. It’s up to the CA to refuse the airplane on those days.
