When I first got to delta from the regionals I kinda found the separate pilot/FA crew lounges to be a bit odd. However, after having to visit the FA lounges a few times, I understand why they are separated. The FA lounges seem to have the frantic atmosphere of a high school passing period. From random PA announcements to lots of talking and movement and activity and "see and be seen (and heard!)" energy. Not relaxing at all. The pilot lounges on the other hand always seem chill, relaxed and like professional workspaces.
I've seen FAs get nervous and uncomfortable when the room or hotel van is quiet for too long. As (mostly) extroverts, they get their energy from talking/social engagement.
All the more reason for separate crew rooms.
