If the leave happens after you consolidate in the aircraft (first 100 hours) no one cares. If it’s before you consolidate, it may trigger extra training events, but you are protected by law. Speak with your union rep after day 1 of BI.
^^^ plenty of people take mil leave during probation. If you are gone for multiple bid periods, it can extend your time on probation, but that’s about it. Not something to highlight at an interview, but as soon as you are an employee… all of the normal USERRA protections are in place.
