However, I can fly planes. Assuming I can’t is a bad decision and assuming that currency determines ability is another bad decision. I’m a great pilot and I get along with everyone. Poor recruiting strategy.
Offer a cjo in response. Suggest currency work. Giving suggestions to be attractive is great policy.
Cold shoulder strategy is a turn off and valuable talent is lost because of it.
To clarify, I'm not saying you are a bad pilot. It's just that even regional jobs will be competitive for a few more months, so you need every advantage you can get. I'm just saying that realistically you will need current experience to be considered until things calm down a little.
Sorry that you're in that situation, but your options are either to wait, or find a way to get flying currency.
