If you stay regional FO.... Sure. But not all of us can recommend that. I can’t. That’s why I still recommend talking with someone with whom you can reveal your goals (and esp desired income) to chart forward.
More then a few leave 121 for the flexibility you may seek.
you’d be surprised how quickly you move off the bottom at a major these days. Most new hires at DL or UA for example get off reserve within a few months and move up relatively quickly on the NB aircraft. Even 777 these days at UA is less than 6 months reserve due to movement. Upgrade is a different story and you could be on reserve for up to a year on NB. Must different than 10 years ago.
