Yes, we can get a contract with 90%+ support. It has happened in the past.
Recalls happen when the people who vote don't think they are being listened to. The MEC works for us, not the other way around. If there is enough support for a recall, then the reps should be recalled.
Calling people who voice a different opinion than you the 12 angry men and expecting it to be a negative connotation shows that you really have no idea what that phrase means or where it came from.
