You only posted half of what United said. They also said that UAX employees would not be mandated under United policy since they are not employees of United. They are encouraging UAX carriers to establish the same policies, but they can’t be forced. If United gets positive PR from this announcement they will milk it for all that it’s worth. Adds will mention how they lead the way in fighting the virus and enhancing safety while others drag their feet, blah, blah, blah. At that point I could see other airlines, including SkyWest, mandate the vaccine as well. If/when that day comes, the few who are not vaccinated will have the same decisions to make that United employees do.
