Now decide what is priority #1 vs #2.

Love both ideas, just like I would like health insurance to be offered for much longer for permanent LTD pilots.
We 100% need our 401K contribution on LTD. You can make lifestyle adjustments for the LTD but you are screwed when you retire. It’s very easy to medical out at any age. Especially now the Feds are starting to defer medicals for certain people that were hospitalized with covid.

Also pilot healthcare rates for the duration not just five years on LTD

Also no offsets for outside income. Makes it impossible to get another job unless you work for cash. Not sure how it applies to a spouse.

The lack 401k and benefit offsets for other income on LTD are major major financial risks. Must haves IMO

Not saying we won’t need medical insurance on retirement but you will have Medicare so it’s far from nothing.
