For the same reasons that we have pilots in the top 100 bidding narrowbody captain positions and pilots in the top 1000 bidding narrowbody FO positions even though both could be A350 captains with plenty of distance to the plug. Some people want the QOL that comes with being top 5 or 10 in their category.
