There was an article a few weeks back about Mitsubishi re-opening a CRJ factory to produce 700s/550s in the near future.

But who knows. Probably all smoke as OO has been buying up any and all 700s from overseas.
It is smoke. SkyWest is buying up 700’s for the same reason they bought up every 170/175 sim available in the country when Mesa was working on their ERJ certificate. SkyWest Inc. wants future contracts to go through them whether OO pilots are flying them or leasing them to another pilot group. Why the hell would they want to make more 700’s available to future contracts to their competitors by encouraging the restart of a dead program.
