After that, they are no longer eligible to run or remain in that seniority block.

This is not an issue for the outer domiciles and Seniority Block 11- all members in those blocks regardless of seniority number and may hold that Local Council seat, assuming they get re-elected.

There doesn’t need to be any reason at all to “recall” a sitting rep, there only needs to be a resolution, a mover a seconder and a majority vote. It doesn’t prevent bad actors from submitting bad reasons, good reasons, or no reason at all.

Hypothetically, you could argue a block rep no longer represents your interests because of an adjustment to his seniority- but for most people listening to that argument, it would seem you would need to convince the sitting Members how exactly that’s occurring, as opposed to making a statement without supporting facts.

Hypothetically, you could add that a Block Rep is also not supporting your desires by the nature of a faulty argument without supporting facts. Again, it would seem that anyone attempting to recall sitting reps on the MEC would have to bring forth substantive facts and or records as they have the onus to justify such removal. Political expediency is a dead horse.

A duly elected representative is by majority vote, the voice of the pilots they represent. From my experience, the majority of them take that obligation seriously and contemplate thoughtfully on all issues before them, even when it doesn’t comport with their personal best interests.

A recall effort attempts to undermine all previous votes in favor of the elected, thereby neutering the constituency with a simple majority of those present.

That is not a zero sum game and entails risk.
Are my facts correct from looking through previous post that this TonyC poster is behind this entire council recall? Is this same TonyC character also running for one of the upcoming vacant Officer seats? If so, may god help us all.

Can you imagine trying to lead a group in which you just attempted to recall 1/5 of its elected members? Is TonyC a management plant sent to divide this pilot group during negotiations? I think he may also have some help from a few other notorious posters and this web forum. Are these few characters Fred’s chosen men, sent to divide?

What is the recall based upon? From reading TonyC’s original post regarding the recall it appears its over nothing. Over his belief that they may feel differently on a subject than he may. Am I understanding this shared correctly?
