The MEC circled the wagons, and Roberts's Rules were used to end the debate even before everyone who wanted to speak had a chance to speak. The floor was monopolized my the LC Chair, and the vote was predictable.
A little better than half the attendees left after the vote, clearly not interested in the remaining business to be conducted during the meeting.
Time to shut up and color, I guess.

Second hand info but I heard the motions failed pretty badly, motion to recall block 2 rep failed something like 72-5, next rep didn't even get seconded and the third rep didn't even have a mover. Not sure how much that was ALPA circling wagons as, if those numbers are correct, seemed pretty overwhelming against.

Why would I do that? My reps are willing to listen to me. Now the interesting thing is that the block 5 rep, who was running the council 22 meeting, did confirm during his meeting that the block four rep did indeed violate executive session confidentiality last year, so there is that.
As for circling the wagons, ask who attended and who proxied. Then ask who organized those proxies. Then ask why all the people want change did not make the effort to attend, or find a person to carry their proxy. Must be everyone is hopeful for PSPP, and wants to be ignored until it's time to vote the TA up or down. By then, it will be too late and another four to six years will be spent complaining on the crewbus. But at least there are draft trips to be flown right now. How short sighted, we should know better after all these years.
Since it won't fit your narrative, I doubt you will seek the truth.
How much are you willing to leave on the table? Why?
And as for that exercise being a waist of time, How do you figure democratic processes are a waist of time? Do you not want any accountability when your representation doesn't listen to you and possibly gives away your A-plan? I have seen PSPP up close and in depth. I was one of the no votes at the table because it left pilots behind. A lot of pilots. No one is pulling the wool over my eyes. No one.
The final take away should be to thank TonyC for his efforts. Win loose or draw, He did the work to cause the conversation and that is a big win for every pilot.

The angry mob, no pancake stickers, and negotiating in public(which despite being told numerous times not to, including from those fighting for your career, you can't stop) all hurt our position against the company.
If we would just grow up and empower our reps. Unified behind them as one union we could obtain the leading contract we all deserve.
Just the other day someone on JF said, what has ALPA ever done for me?
Maybe we could at least make the company try....

Okay, Lets go one by one:
You say you were there to fight for your rep's position. What positions does he hold? Does he want PSPP and if so at what current A-plan equivalent? 320K, 340K, 360K, ETC. How about pay rates? Do you know what he will fight for at the table? Work rule improvements? Since you don't know, Please admit you don't know. Now ask yourself, would you elect a rep for government who would not take a stand on the issues of the day?
Glad to hear he answers your calls. Does he do that for every member of your council? OR does he admit he treats members in good standing as hostile?
I doubt, and will place a gentlemen's bet on how he votes regardless of the TA's value. It is a forgone conclusion.
So now opposition to vague terms can be labeled as hurting us? Are you saying be quiet and color, get in line, and the like? Wasn't this country founded on freedoms? Healthy debate leads to best value.
About growing up and getting behind our reps, isn't that how we got contract '15? How did that work. No, I want the facts. If our reps can't or won't tell us what they are fighting for, why are we standing behind them?
About what has ALPA done for me? Well if you go back the the presentation from the last Joint Council Meeting (in '19), there was a two page list presented to the pilots and family members who attended.
I get holding representatives accountable takes work, but can we afford not to? How much did we leave on the table the last time? How is it different this time?
NO I don't expect you to answer any of these publicly, but if you can't answer them privately, what are you standing behind. And if you can, your rep violated Executive Session Confidentiality.
I do agree we need demand all the improvements we deserve. With all the efficiencies gained during the last six years, and no improvement in the last 22 years to our A-plan, my ask is higher than your reps, that I am sure.

I was told the proxies were posted on projection screen for counting purposes. It was shown that TonyC was holding proxies from management pilots. Interesting at the least coming from someone who says he is doing all this damage to save the pilots. Is TonyC a management troll? It appears you are his friend so thought you could answer.
I also hear you attempted to recall someone recently. I hear that also failed miserably. So what are you and your cohorts trying to achieve besides just being disruptive? Didn’t you and TonyC serve on the MEC recently? Are you two just disrupting because you didn’t get your way? Throwing a fit? Seems you two are childish.
If you two had so much support, like you claim you do, how come you can only manage a couple votes in favor of this most recent recall. How come on your recall attempt it failed so miserably also. Are you not getting the message that the few angry men on airline pilot central don't represent the pilot group. The big blabbermouths of social media spreading disunity are the minority. How you and your few troll friends cannot be embarrassed of yourselves is beyond me.
And you’re continuing to negotiate in public. You posted a pay rate you would accept in previous posts. That was quickly debated by another poster as being too low. And this is the exact reason why you don’t negotiate in public.
