Interesting thought to me is whether or not I would have this opportunity if not for COVID. Not sure how many guys left above me, but I have a sense it made a difference of a couple years for our seniority.
You'll be flying lots of domestic trips. Many aren't commutable on one or both ends. Living in base, no problem--as you said, short call from home... I like them, fewer time zones......but.....if you get to be one of those high maintenance Capt's that don't like domestic because you have to talk on the radio or do weather? Well, have fun!
