After misleading/obfuscating the facts about MCAS to the FAA in order to not require airlines to provide additional Max training to their pilots, he gets hired by the one airline that stands the most to benefit from there being no training. Then when he gets hired, SWA rewards him by making him a NOC Chief Pilot (as an FO).
Kind of reminds me of the Boeing/Darleen Drunyun fiasco. But in that one, nobody died.
Don't think he was a NOC CP. He did work under the Dallas CPO and probably worked as an ACP of sorts...perhaps you've got more inside baseball knowledge than I, but his board specifically said DAL CP. Is that the same as NOC CP? He also hardly flew, never had any type of office pulls on his board, and when he did fly it was frequently up to SEA/PAE/BFI
