if you live within a commutable distance you could do far worse than coming to SY. Don't buy into the hyperbole plastered over all the forums. Skipping the regionals and going straight to a LCC as a CFI is a great opportunity. management has been anything but decent… There is no potential. They are running this place into the ground. The airline is shrinking. This place is worse than a regional. Slightly better pay rates and that’s about it. Until management puts together a good faith effort in negotiations this place will just be a revolving door for CFI’s. Don’t believe they want to get a deal done soon. That’s what they say to keep pilots on property.
