There are numerous reasons within a family dynamic that a move could be far more of an unworkable and adverse life event than a commute.
Right, that goes back to the "willingness to move" part of my post. Just because it's an option you're not willing to take (for lots of good reasons), doesn't mean it's not an option. I say that as someone who will not move if they ever shut down my base and as someone who left another legacy carrier to not have to commute.
