Ny is now 12 weeks of paid family leave. Max benefit for that (based on income) is over $11k. You can also work part time instead, and drop leave one day at a time. Typically 50 days worth, but I’ve seen as high as 60. Imagine 50-60 guaranteed days off, every holiday, vacation, for a year, and of course as needed childcare/baby bonding. Worth way more than the money they give you.
