I have a quick question for you guys. I'm about to start ground school on the 10th. I know we get min res. for training. I'm trying to plan a bit financially for the year and was wondering how much approx. a first year FO will bring home every month flying the line. Is there an opportunity for extra flying? If I remember right, we get block or better right? Any insight would help tons. Thanks!
It all depends on how soon you can get off res. and that depends on what base you want. But for training you'll get your 75 hours and that's not alot, and I don't think you will qualify for food stamps. Yes we do get block or better and for open time you can pick up time for 1.5 pay, all that being said I wouldn't buy anything big.
