thats a skewed number. you're comparing the heavy NJ 72 day schedule to flexes pbs. you're way off. the 72 day schedules is about 228 days in a year at 85k. if you worked that many days at flex (first year FO) you're looking at 421 a day at flex your base pay is 95k. plus the 220 bonus (5k) and 30 of those days would have been overtime. anywhere from 1.5x-3x daily rates depending on the fleet. nice try though.
If you work 228 days at Netjets, you can probably add another $30k-40k as a minimum for flight duty pay being conservative. I’m on the 7/7 and already at $39k in FDP.
You can also add another 10% for holidays, overtime, etc. If they contribute to the 401k, then you can plan on 58% match to their 401k contribution as well as 1/3 of your FDP.
How much is the medical for a family at Flex? Netjets is $0, so that is also money back in your pocket.
There is a lot of “soft money” to be made in addition the salary at Netjets. The APC numbers don’t really show the big picture.
