It just seems like you very much enjoy any opportunity you have to "call it what it is". If it's true what you say, why kick us when we're down? Whether you're right or not is one thing, why you're constantly here is another question entirely.
Maybe he/she is trying to make sure that you realize what is coming, and hoping that you will take the opportunity to move on to better things sooner rather than later.
