Oh I didn't mean anything bad to you by it. All I'm saying is that we, as the pilot group, have in our contract that junior manning is a legal and acceptable assignment, but we, as the pilot group on a whole, complain when junior manning comes into play. Under staffed or not, its still a legal assignment.
Bluemoon, I have to disagree with you to a certain point on the staffing issue. Yes, we are short staffed on the 700/900. Just compare the number of f/os and capts. But the latest bid released had 33 trainees, if I remember correctly. That's a huge chunk, relative to the size of the 700/900 pilot group.
Yes, I understand that JM on a day off is a shot in the dark by scheduling. Sometimes they get ahold of us, sometimes they don't. But those who are contacted on a day off, i think its safe to say that they wanted the JM just as tristar said.
