Atlas is flying out of our ramp using our call sign with our freight. That is totally different than belly freight on pax carriers or peak assistance flying. It’s long term and it’s only 2 planes which means we could be doing it ourselves but management decided that to use a cheaper carrier instead of doing it internally.
If the union/pilot group doesn’t draw a line in the sand now, then we can kiss many of our jobs goodbye in the long term.
Did you read my post? My response was we don’t control who Atlas hires (in regards to them hiring foreign nationals). We have less wet leased airplanes now than many years past. We outsource lots of flying in different forms around the globe.
I am all for tighter scope but lets stop acting like its new or that its being done more now than before. Why do you think we blew up with block hours the past 2 years especially internationally. It’s because belly space on pax airlines didn’t exist so we actually flew more of our own freight instead of it going on a pax airplane.
