I know this can be a broad topic, but what was your driving factor to leave SWA and commute for DAL? I currently have options for both SWA and DAL, but I'm on the fence about which one to choose. Part of me wants the great work rules and schedule flexibility, but comes at the cost of a longer commute. GEG to DEN, OAK, or LAS, and there are a limited amount of flights each day. On the other hand, DAL offers the ability to commute from GEG to SEA, which offers nearly 20 flights per day, and hardly seems to be a commute at all considering the flight is 45 minutes.
Personal ambitions but yes, mainly the opportunity to try the WB flying was a big driving factor. I also didn’t see myself living in said SWA base forever unless I stayed and have the flexibility to move to anywhere that’ll save me commuting. I do agree with SWA having some great work rules and flexibility. I was enjoying my schedule pretty early on in my tenure there. Good luck with your decision.
