I never tried this strategy but thinking of picking up a bunch of white slips and yellow slips to get up to 72 hours/ ALV to get to being Full and not having to have to fly over Christmas and New Years. Is there any gotchas I should be made aware of before doing this? Thanks in advance

dont think you can WS on reserve, but other than that I can’t think of any…other than lots of other pilots will be trying the same thing.
also IIRC a YS only gives you priority within your bucket. I may be wrong but I think a bucket 2 pilot with no YS would be assigned a trip before a bucket 3 pilot with a YS. Also I think YS on day off goes after all in base reserve, regardless of slip request.
I don’t have the contract handy but I’d look at those things to see. That may mess up your plan.
