ABX lives on overtime flying/pickup. It's an Achilles' heel for us in a big way. As an ATSG carrier I would warn you that is a modus operandi of how they (upper mgmt) thinks. There is a serious belief about trimming the fat, keeping crews beyond the word short, and hoping to cover the ups/down with overtime. We all know the industry and where it is heading, management seems to think their carriers are doing fine and while not filling classes, every mornings staff meeting seems to show all the trips covered. Or they come up with reasons to deflect why something wasn't. As mentioned before, Omni is late to the ATSG game from commitments to be hands off. Those fences are coming down so we'll see where it goes. Hopefully y'all will come up with a great contract, moving the ball forward, and life will be good. Of course they will have to deal with the others who want 'me too' items or what the future section 6 will look like (which I don't think they want to see....). I've got a few more years in the stands to watch and see it unfold.
