Give me the straight scoop as I do have a 5 day per month 100 hour per year co-captain gig on a Phenom 300. I'm not a time builder. I havex15,000 ++ hours DC9 type, B727-200 type, and the EMB-505 type. My CFIAMEI ticket and ratings are all current. Whoopi ding right? That's what I might be thinking if I read this post. I just thought I could help. Like I stated I would just like to fly in the Islands again and keep my Spanish fluency sharp by living on La Isla Grande o posible Culebra o Vieques.
For what you are looking for at Cape being hired part-time is the ONLY thing you would want to do. They are hiring part-time in SJU currently. If you get hired as a full-time pilot and they "promise" you something in the Carribean nothing is guaranteed. In fact if they can't get coverage at one of their EAS bases then guess where you will go? PT would work for your position but no healthcare is offered but there is plenty of OT to pick-up if you could get SJU. It's an okay place to be but with the way they are losing pilots so quickly it'll be interesting how Cape can find qualified Captains.
