No. There are 10 possible non-FDA FO positions to bid for as a new hire (5 MEM, 2 ANC, 1 IND/OAK/LAX) and in order to be eligible for NHJAC you must list 57M as your last choice AND be awarded that position. That’s it. Full stop.
A word of caution to those who are considering doing this. Bid 21-01 left a large amount of vacancies in ANC on both the 777 and MD11. If you put 757 last on you bid sheet, be prepared to end up in ANC.
Yeeeaahhh, that's definitely not going to work then. Oh well. Living in MEM and getting on the 757 with lots of relative seniority is worth the pay hit to me. I think I saw 80% vacancy on the 75FM? Crazy.
