Yes they are! Good Lord you guys have some low standards. Hotel standards and location is an issue, along with ground transportation. And yes, I did stay in some better hotels at my regional days and I was always in a professional car service if one was needed, not some Uber or beat down Rockaway shuttle.
Here at JiffyJet we have a Hotel "Guidelines" section in the CBA, not "requirements".... guidelines! They can put you in a "3-star" Holiday Inn next to a Hooters off the Freeway and it will meet the "guidelines" for a long stay. A common theme here is we either have a great hotel, but in a crapy location, or a crap hotel in a great location. I can only think of a few places that have both a great hotel in a good location.
The Hotel section needs tremendous improvement! No more Ubers for ground transportation and limits on max. Limo legs! You guys are major airline pilots, get that 'It's better than Mesa" mentality out of your damn heads!
